Job summary

Bryant & Stratton College is hiring an Associate Professor for the Hybrid OTA Program. This full-time faculty role entails 32 weekly hours across a hybrid work arrangement and locations in Wauwatosa, WI; Virginia Beach, VA; Parma, OH; Greece, NY.

The instructor will plan and facilitate instruction, develop course content, and support student success while maintaining current knowledge in occupational therapy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an institution accredited by a U.S. DOE-recognized accrediting agency.
• Current OT or OTA license in the state or jurisdiction of the program location.
• Expertise in assigned teaching areas and knowledge of content delivery methods.
• Professionalism, integrity, self-motivation, and a strong commitment to helping students improve their career prospects.
• Ability to maintain contemporary skills in active learning and authentic assessment methods.
• Working knowledge of computer technology and common software used for instruction and communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate instruction that helps students meet course outcomes and classroom objectives.
• Develop, integrate, and deliver course content, lesson plans, supplemental syllabi, and assessments with appropriate rigor.
• Integrate the College’s four lifelong learning competencies into each course taught.
• Establish a safe, supportive classroom environment aligned with College values and personalized learning.
• Orient students to and promote safe use of occupational therapy-related equipment and supplies.
• Provide scheduled Skills Assistance contact hours and communicate schedules for student participation.
• Maintain current knowledge in the teaching discipline through professional organizations and scholarly resources.
• Participate in faculty development opportunities and document progress in a Professional Development Plan.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain administrative contact hours.
• Follow College policies and contribute to curriculum monitoring and development.
• Participate in College functions including graduation and special activities.
• Support recruitment, retention, and graduation goals; meet with the Program Director to discuss performance.
• Advise assigned students regarding OTA coursework and fieldwork education.
• Provide opportunities for student and graduate feedback on curriculum and program effectiveness.
