Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company is seeking a data analyst to support the enterprise reliability strategy by extracting and analyzing operational data. You will develop data pipelines, build dashboards, and deliver reports to inform performance, risk, and decision-making across Electric Transmission and Distribution Engineering.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with SQL/Oracle, Excel, and data governance, and will collaborate with engineering, operations, IT, and strategy

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 2 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Extract, manage, and analyze operational data to support enterprise reliability strategy.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, tools, and databases for reliable data delivery.
• Implement automated data processes for extraction, transformation, validation and reporting.
• Create and deliver standard and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and analyses for insights.
• Support integration of metrics, forecasts, and analytics into reliability strategy and reporting.
• Manage analytics tasks from intake to completion with stakeholder alignment.
• Identify data gaps and contribute to data quality improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, IT and Strategy to gather requirements.
• Apply statistical and analytical techniques to derive actionable insights.
• Communicate results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support data governance and documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data processes and reporting frameworks.
