Job summary

Kroo Bank Ltd is seeking an Operational Risk Analyst to help develop and maintain the bank's operational risk management framework. You will work in the second line of defence, advising and challenging teams to identify, assess and report risks, ensuring effective controls and consistent risk culture across the bank.

The role supports risk governance with monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management and the Board, including risk events, KRIs and emerging trends.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational risk, risk management or related assurance role.
• Understanding of first and second lines of defence responsibilities.
• Familiarity with risk events, issues management and KRIs.
• Ability to document findings clearly and prepare management information.

Responsibilities

• Support identification and assessment of operational risks and maintain effective controls.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify weaknesses and recommend improvements.
• Develop and implement operational risk policies and procedures.
• Provide oversight of RCSA processes and risk assessment activity.
• Coordinate risk events and issues, track ownership and progress.
• Review incidents for recurring themes and root causes.
• Plan testing and monitoring of control design and effectiveness.
• Develop KRIs and escalate emerging risks as needed.
• Analyse data and prepare reports for senior management and the Board.
• Produce monthly and quarterly risk reporting.
