Jacobs is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer in Ohio to design and optimize state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver complex projects on time and within budget. The role emphasizes field support, design quality reviews, and client interaction, with a focus on problem-solving and scalable solutions.

A PE license is preferred, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• At least 4–5 years of chemical process engineering experience.
• Engineer in Training (EIT/FE) certification.
• Visa sponsorship not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform conceptual and detailed design for advanced manufacturing facilities.
• Use best practices and industry knowledge to solve complex engineering problems.
• Interface with other disciplines, project management, and the client to provide fully coordinated projects.
• Support field construction efforts, including reviewing submittals, responding to questions from clients and contractors, and performing field walks.
• Perform quality reviews on designs performed by others.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on basic engineering applications and principles.
• Participate in the development of proposals, budgets, and schedules for process-specific work.
