Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, journalism or related field.
• 0–2 years of professional experience or internships preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and very high attention to detail.
• Experience with video editing and digital assets creation.

Responsibilities

• Be based in the New York City office, on a hybrid schedule (3 days a week).
• Monitor and record external media placements; create media reports and track metrics.
• Generate and maintain media lists and databases.
• Draft press materials (press releases, media alerts, pitch notes, briefing docs).
• Contribute to the corporate social media strategy and content creation.
• Research and draft company and executive award submissions.
• Identify new media outlets to expand media relations.
• Create content for the Dow Jones Press Hub with multiplatform storytelling.
• Update weekly reports to executives; keep team accountable.
• Flag industry news to inspire ideas and timely pitches.
• Assist with day-to-day storytelling and pitching across the business.
• Support multiple high-priority projects with tight deadlines.
