Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking a Corporate Communications Associate in New York City to join the global communications team on a hybrid schedule. You will support day-to-day external communications across News, Energy, Risk, Enterprise and Consumer, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-achievement environment.

The ideal candidate has internship experience or 0–2 years in public relations, strong writing and organizational skills, and a passion for media.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or equivalent.
• 0–2 years experience, internship preferred.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with video editing and design tools.

Responsibilities

• Be based in NYC office with a hybrid schedule (3 days a week).
• Monitor media placements and track campaign metrics.
• Create and maintain media lists and databases.
• Draft press materials: press releases, media alerts, pitch notes.
• Contribute to social media strategy and content for posts.
• Draft award submissions and research new outlets.
• Assist with pitching daily stories across the business.
• Prepare weekly executive reports and trend analyses.
