Job summary

Talan is seeking a strong C++ Developer to build a greenfield, low-latency market data application for a high-frequency trading environment. The role emphasizes robust OOP, design patterns, and real-time data processing on a global Market Data Feed Application.

Location: NYC, hybrid (at least 4 days onsite per week). This is a 6-month consulting engagement with potential extension up to 12 months. Visa sponsorship is not provided. Salary range is USD 120,000–150,000 with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C++ backend development with strong OOP fundamentals.
• Experience with high-performance or real-time systems is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance C++ systems for a global Market Data Feed Application.
• Apply OOP, design patterns, data structures and algorithms for clean, maintainable code.
• Design scalable, low-latency components for real-time market data processing.
• Develop network connectivity (UDP/TCP, multicast) and implement market data protocols (ITCH, PITCH, OUCH).
• Build market data processing and order book components; ensure thread-safety and low latency.
