Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Nursing Station Technician to support patient care and unit operations. This hybrid role combines Nursing Assistant duties with Health Unit Coordinator responsibilities to assist nurses, manage communications, and coordinate tests and transports.

The NST will work 0.8 FTE with 8-hour day/evening shifts and every other weekend. Candidates need a BLS certification, nursing assistant registry, and relevant clinical exposure to join a busy hospital unit.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Experience assisting in patient care and clerical tasks preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and unit workflow.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional nurse with patient care as directed.
• Coordinate communications on the patient care unit.
• Transcribe orders and manage desk area tasks.
• Coordinate tests, labs, and patient transport.
• Maintain patient rooms and unit supplies.
