Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Maplewood, MN is seeking a Nursing Station Technician (NST) for the Outpatient / Short Stay unit. This hybrid Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator role supports direct patient care and administrative duties under nurse supervision.

The NST works 48 hours per two weeks on night shifts, with every other weekend. Starting pay is $24.16 per hour, with potential higher offers for experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Completion of Fairview's OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program.
• Six months of recent direct care experience in a long term, home care or acute care setting.
• Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, or MN Nursing Assistant Registry may be required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the professional caregiver in delivering patient care, including hygiene, vitals, daily activities, repositioning, transporting, and feeding.
• Transport patients and equipment.
• Provide 1:1 patient sitting.
• Set up and maintain patient rooms.
• Order supplies and manage stock.
• Answer phones, process admissions, discharges, transfers, and transcribe orders.
