Job summary

The University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank Campus is seeking a Nursing Station Technician for the Cardiac Med/Surg IMC unit. This role blends Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator responsibilities to provide direct patient care and administrative support on an overnight schedule.

Responsibilities include patient care tasks, unit desk operations, room setup, and supply management, delivered under nurse supervision on a fast-paced unit.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• One of the following program/experience options applies.
• Direct patient care experience or active nursing studies are acceptable pathways.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care tasks (hygiene, vitals, mobility, feeding).
• Maintain unit desk functions (phones, admissions, discharges, charting).
• Prepare and restock patient rooms; order tests and supplies.
• Support nursing staff and health unit coordinator duties on a fast-paced unit.
