Job summary

Cambridge Savings Bank is seeking a Network Engineer to support and enhance our enterprise network and data center infrastructure. The role emphasizes branch connectivity, LAN/WAN, and cloud networking strategy with Azure.

You will work across locations including New Hampshire, perform hands-on server and storage tasks, and participate in upgrades, monitoring, and documentation efforts. Strong Cisco and VMware knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant network or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, DHCP, DNS, enterprise wireless networking, and branch connectivity.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex network and infrastructure issues.
• Experience supporting production infrastructure across multiple locations.
• Ability to create and maintain accurate network diagrams and documentation.
• Willingness to travel between company locations, especially in New Hampshire.
• Preferred certifications include Cisco, Microsoft Azure, or comparable.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise and branch networking, including Cisco switches, routers, wireless access points, Cisco Meraki technologies, and WAN connectivity.
• Configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN environments, VLANs, routing, TCP/IP, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, and wireless services.
• Investigate connectivity, availability, latency, capacity, and performance issues across branches, offices, data centers, cloud platforms, and third-party services.
• Coordinate with carriers to install circuits and resolve outages, packet loss, latency, and service issues.
• Install, upgrade, cabling, and validate network hardware; maintain diagrams, inventories, configuration docs; support upgrades, migrations, and hardware refreshes.
• Provide hands-on support for server infrastructure, storage, power, cabling, data center equipment, and virtualization.
• Assist with Windows Server and VMware administration; support HPE hardware, Alletra, and dHCI environments.
• Support patching, lifecycle activities, monitoring, backups, and vendor coordination to resolve issues.
• Perform additional duties as required.
