Job summary

Cambridge Savings Bank is seeking a Network Engineer to support, maintain, and improve our enterprise network and infrastructure. The role focuses on switching, routing, wireless, LAN/WAN services, and branch connectivity, with involvement in cloud networking.

You will work within the IT Infrastructure team, travel to New Hampshire locations, and participate in projects across data centers, cloud environments, and on-premises environments. Experience with Cisco Meraki and VMware is valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant network or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, DHCP, DNS, and enterprise wireless networking.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise and branch networking, including Cisco switches, routers, wireless access points, Cisco Meraki technologies, and WAN connectivity.
• Configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN environments, VLANs, routing, TCP/IP, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, and wireless services.
• Independently investigate connectivity, availability, latency, capacity, and performance issues across branches, offices, data centers, cloud platforms, and third-party services.
• Coordinate with telecommunications carriers and service providers to install circuits and resolve outages, packet loss, latency, and other service issues.
• Install, replace, upgrade, cable, and validate network hardware; maintain network diagrams, device inventories, configuration documentation, backups, and operational procedures; and support network upgrades, migrations, acquisitions, hardware refreshes, and other infrastructure projects.
