Job summary

Bluebird Fiber is seeking a Network Development Analyst to join our Kansas City team. The role focuses on planning, optimization, and expansion of our fiber network infrastructure, requiring a strong grasp of telecom networks, pricing structures, and contract management.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years in the fiber/telecom space, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across regions in a hybrid work environment. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of direct experience in the fiber or telecom industry.
  • Working understanding of fiber pricing structures (e.g., O&M, colo).
  • Familiarity with telecom networks, including fiber architecture and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with IRU and DF lease renewals.
  • Ability to read and understand fiber contracts and assess their implications.
  • Ability to optimize network paths and propose solutions for market expansion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • IRU and DF Lease Management: Analyze and manage IRU and DF lease renewals.
  • Network Planning and Optimization: Develop network path optimization strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Fiber Pricing and Cost Management: Evaluate pricing for fiber services including O&M and colo.
  • Technical Knowledge and Contract Analysis: Read, interpret, and analyze fiber contracts.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and prepare reports.
  • Data Management and Applications: Use common office tools for data analysis and modeling.
