Job summary

Verdantas seeks a strong .NET Web Developer to support a Federal client in Washington, DC. You will design, develop, test, and maintain web apps using C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core, building robust APIs and UI components.

The role requires a bachelor’s in a related field, 5+ years of .NET experience, and US citizenship. Expect a hybrid work setup with competitive compensation and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in CS/IT/SE or related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing web applications using the Microsoft .NET framework.
• Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, and .NET technologies.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and web services.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, database design, and query optimization.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Cybersecurity best practices for web apps preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, and related Microsoft technologies.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services to support web applications and integrations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
• Manage deployments and support production environments.
• Integrate applications with SQL Server databases and third-party systems.
• Stay current with emerging tech and propose improvements.
