Job summary

Direct Energy Business is looking for a NERC Compliance/Electrical Specialist to provide essential support for NRG's NERC Operations Compliance Program. In this role, you will analyze protection systems, support design change projects, and assist during audits. This position involves periodic travel while ensuring NERC O&P standards are adhered to, directly contributing to plant operations.

This hybrid role offers opportunities in Houston and other locations with competitive compensation including additional benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in power plant operations, especially with electrical systems.
• Five to ten years of experience with NERC compliance programs.
• Solid understanding of NERC O&P standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assess protection system settings for compliance with NERC standards.
• Review maintenance results and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze plant data for compliance with NERC FAC, TPL, and VAR standards.
• Maintain NERC O&P compliance documentation.
• Prepare for NERC audits and facilitate the audit process.
