Job summary

Thrivent is seeking a Mutual Fund Accountant Intern in Appleton, Wisconsin, for a 12-week summer internship as part of its entry-level talent program. You will work on daily mutual fund accounting activities, coordinate with auditors and custodians, and contribute to reporting and reconciliation tasks.

The role targets juniors graduating December 2027 or May 2028, with a GPA of 3.0+ and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• GPA 3.0+ expected.
• MS Office proficiency (PowerPoint and Excel).
• Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cash activity and projections for portfolio managers.
• Audit, reconcile, and approve NAV/unit value calculations daily.
• Prepare monthly reconciliation work papers and ad hoc reports.
• Ensure activity between custodian and accounting system reconciles correctly.
• Assist in preparing materials for external auditors.
