T. Rowe Price seeks an experienced Municipal Bond Trader to join the Municipal Bond Investments team within Fixed Income. The role focuses on executing municipal trades, leveraging dealer networks, and supporting performance across municipal strategies.

The successful candidate will bring deep market knowledge, strong execution discipline, and a collaborative approach to engage with portfolio managers and research analysts from day one.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in municipal bond trading, municipal investing, or related fixed income role.
• Strong understanding of municipal market dynamics, liquidity, and credit.
• Proven ability to execute in varied market environments using dealers and platforms.
• Established relationships with dealers and credibility as a counterparty.
• Ability to engage in portfolio discussions and translate research into trades.
• Interest in evolving trading technology and market structure.

Responsibilities

• Execute primary and secondary municipal bond trades with focus on best execution and liquidity.
• Collaborate with PMs and analysts to express views across curve, sectors, structures, and credits.
• Provide timely market color including dealer axes, flows, and new issue calendars.
• Identify relative value opportunities and liquidity conditions to inform portfolio construction.
• Maintain relationships with dealers and trading platforms to enhance liquidity and idea flow.
• Support modernization of trading through data, analytics, and scalable workflows.
• Share views on trading levels and market structure with the Fixed Income team.
• Trade within risk limits and regulatory requirements with discipline.
