Job summary

Alta Planning + Design in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Transportation Engineer Project Manager to lead multimodal transportation projects and advance design excellence. You will develop plans, specifications, and estimates, manage scopes, budgets, and schedules, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers a hybrid work schedule with opportunities to work from home several days a week and to travel for site visits as needed. 8+ years of experience and a PE license are preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Transportation Engineer in a consulting environment or public entity.
• 2+ years of experience with project management, including coordinating teams, preparing scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Managing multimodal transportation projects including complete streets and bikeway design.
• Developing PS&E for bid-ready packages.
• Leading coordination meetings with clients and consultants.
• Preparing proposals and scope documents for grant applications and planning activities.
