Job summary

The University of Arizona seeks a Multimedia Specialist II to produce high-quality video content across field locations and studios, supporting faculty in course content creation. This hybrid role leverages creativity, technical skill, and reliability to deliver engaging educational media on tight timelines.

Based at the Tucson campus, you’ll collaborate with instructors, manage cameras and audio, and edit with industry tools while balancing research-based pedagogy and production best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Experience creating instructional content in higher education or documentary-style programs is a plus.
• Strong production workflow knowledge from pre to post.

Responsibilities

• Lead multimedia projects from field to studio, upholding high lighting, sound, and camera standards.
• Collaborate with instructors to turn subject matter into engaging media and script ideas.
• Operate professional cameras and audio in varied environments (classrooms, outdoors, labs, events, studios).
• Edit content with professional software, ensuring quality and accessibility.
• QA multimedia deliverables to meet specifications and brand guidelines.
• Coordinate production logistics: scheduling, locations, equipment transport.
• Work in a team, provide feedback and support to colleagues.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and research on media production.
