Metrc, a leading cannabis regulatory technology provider in the United States, seeks a Tax & Compliance Accountant to join our Lakeland, FL team in a hybrid, on-site-friendly role.

You will support multi-state tax compliance across entities, manage tax reconciliations, registrations, and notices, coordinate with third‑party filers and state agencies, and help modernize our compliance processes.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in multi-state tax compliance or similar roles.
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-state structures.
• Proficient in MS Excel and related financial tools.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate with the third-party income tax filer and ensure timely returns.
• Process income tax payments and related filings.
• Support sales tax compliance and monitor accounts across states.
• Prepare tax-related reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Maintain state registrations and tax registrations across jurisdictions.
• Manage the compliance calendar and filing deadlines.
• Respond to notices and support tax audits.
• Monitor nexus and tax law changes as footprint grows.
• Assist in automating compliance processes.
