IT Support Technician (Level 1–1.5) Hybrid Chicago, IL $50K–$60+ Growth-Packed Opportunity

We’re partnering with a small but mighty MSP in the heart of Chicago (steps from Restaurant Row) that’s built on energy, mentorship, and vibes you actually want to be around. They’re searching for a sharp, friendly Level 1–1.5 Help Desk Technician to triage tickets, support end users, and slowly level up into backend systems and project work alongside their CTO.

This isn’t the typical MSP hamster wheel. You’ll be part of a hands-on, collaborative team that believes in real growth, ongoing learning, and keeping the fridge stocked and the office dog well-fed.

Day to Day:

  • Triage tickets, follow up with users, and resolve day-to-day issues across a Windows/Mac/M365 environment
  • Handle basic networking (VPN, DNS, DHCP)
  • Support imaging, documentation, and RMM scripting using N-Able
  • Learn project work and systems support directly from leadership
  • Keep documentation clean using PassPortal, MSP Manager, and other internal tools
  • Be a point of calm, clarity, and solid vibes for the team and your users

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • 2+ year in IT support (MSP)
  • Solid foundation in Windows OS, M365, and entry-level networking
  • Familiarity with RMM/PSA tools (N-Able, Datto, MSP Manager, PassPortal = major plus)
  • Excellent communicator, someone who keeps a convo going without sounding like a bot
  • Team-first, upbeat energy but not over the top
  • Hungry to grow into project and backend work
  • Must be commutable to 60607 (Millennium Park area) this role is 5 days onsite for the first 6 months, then shifts to hybrid (3-4 days in office)
  • Salary: Up to $50K-$60K, depending on experience and energy
