Job summary

UPMC is seeking an advanced Level II MRI Technologist with a hybrid work arrangement (some on-site, some remote). The role includes performing imaging procedures at an advanced level and providing technical expertise to multiple business units.

The position offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment. You will contribute to safety, protocol development, training, and QA, while collaborating with radiologists and researchers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs all Level II Advanced MRI Technologist duties including MR safety, patient identification, contrast labeling/preparation/administration, and accurate documentation per SOPs.
• Develops and implements training programs and supports startup of new offsite locations, including reporting systems and effective communication with physicians, staff, and patients.
• Leads training on new techniques, protocols, and software; collaborates with radiologists and researchers to identify solutions and supports tech remediation and research involvement.
• Oversees the tech QA program, reviews/updates protocols, and leads staff training on new equipment; acts as a lead resource for imaging staff.
• Attends advanced trainings to maintain industry standards in imaging and shares updates with imaging leadership and new hire orientation.
• Supports accreditation responsibilities and ensures quality control tests, safety standards, and equipment performance are documented.
• Serves as a technical resource to technologists daily and participates in annual performance reviews.
