Job summary

The Associate, Middle Office Operations, will support daily trade lifecycle processes, including settlement, reconciliation, and cash management, across multiple custodians and fund types.

Ideal candidates have strong knowledge of derivatives, fixed income, and securities clearing, plus proficiency in Excel, VBA, Python, and LLMs to automate workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in middle or back office or fund services.
• Solid working knowledge in derivatives, fixed income products, and securities clearing.
• Bachelor’s degree or related field preferred.
• Industry knowledge of derivative trading, fixed income products, cash management, and clearing processes.
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Development skills including Excel, VBA, Python, and LLMs (ChatGPT/Claude).
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Monitor trading workflows and identify opportunities to automate and reduce risk.
• Ensure trades are recorded accurately and discrepancies are addressed with internal/external contacts.
• Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and back-office teams to align trading strategies and processes.
• Develop and maintain middle office procedures and documentation, with periodic compliance reviews.
• Support launch operations, compliance reviews, and fund accounting audit requirements.
• Assist with data compilation used for KPI reporting and performance metrics.
• Improve manual workflows to enhance accuracy and timeliness across daily middle office functions.
• Handle reconciliation, trade settlements, trade support, and data management daily.
