Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of related underwriting experience.
Experience in middle market underwriting in construction, manufacturing, wholesale, real estate, and service industries preferred.

Responsibilities

Underwrite, price, and program individual policies/accounts in collaboration with agency and internal sales partners.
Handle complex underwriting assignments and refer business outside authority limits.
Evaluate and improve underwriting procedures for effectiveness; train others on underwriting procedures.
Collaborate with rating, general services, audit, safety sciences, customer accounting and customer service teams to meet service and quality objectives.
Stay informed about insurance marketplace trends and emerging industry issues.
