Job summary

AUSGAR Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer for the Old Town area of San Diego to support DoD Navy communications and navigation programs.

The role involves design, integration, testing, deployment and sustainment of complex defense systems with a hybrid 60% onsite/40% remote work arrangement. The ideal candidate has a Secret clearance, a relevant bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of systems engineering experience, with strong requirements analysis and cross-team

Qualifications

• Must possess a Secret level security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or related technical discipline with 3+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Ability to analyze requirements and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering lifecycle from concept development through design, integration, testing, deployment and sustainment.
• Analyze customer, operational and technical requirements and translate them into system-level requirements and specifications.
• Participate in systems architecture development, interface definition, requirements allocation and trade studies.
• Support the integration of hardware, software, network, cybersecurity and platform systems within complex environments.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation and test procedures.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders, program managers, software developers and test teams.
