Job summary

Bombardier's Learjet Inc. in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Methods Engineer to join our manufacturing team. You will assist with evaluating production methods, drafting documentation, and supporting feasibility analyses for changes in production lines.

The role prefers 0–2 years in Methods or Material Planning, familiarity with SAP, ACAD, Catia V4/V5, and a manufacturing background. A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in Methods, Material Planning, or related area.
• Basic knowledge of SAP, ACAD, Catia V4/V5.
• Basic knowledge of Project Management principles.
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and specifications.
• Manufacturing background preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assists with analyzing feasibility according to optimal methods by assessing the costs, impacts and risks of a change in production.
• Assists with drafting the necessary working and repair documents.
• Learns to analyze and estimate PCR (Program Change Request).
• Assists with analyzing equipment and workstation production capacity, as well as creating task sequencing and capacity analysis.
• Assists with analyzing requirements and initiates productions tool purchase orders, including ECAAR (Emergency Capital Acquisition Authorization).
• Assists Methods Planners with tool designs.
• Directs Methods Planners in the preparation and revision of manufacturing documents such as MIWOs, LOGs, TWOs, Set-Up Documents (Mfg Work Orders, Work Instructions (LOGs) and Tooling Work Orders).
