Job summary

Meijer is seeking candidates for Merchandising Replenishment Analyst Trainee opportunities in Grand Rapids, MI. This role begins as a Business Analyst Trainee in a 13-week training program with a mentor, and online/in-person classes before transitioning to the Business Analyst role.

The position focuses on inventory management, demand forecasting and category analysis to meet customer needs with the right product at the right time.

Responsibilities

• Demand forecasting, inventory fulfillment and allocation duties; adjust and maintain order settings.
• Develop inventory deployment strategy aligned with plans.
• Ensure shelf presentation and inventory levels to hit on-shelf availability goals.
• Identify and resolve product flow issues and requests.
• Manage product lifecycle: forecasts, promos and end-of-life analysis.
• Collaborate with buyers on advertising, digital and visual strategy.
• Resolve issues impacting business or product flow amid competitive market.
• Work with buyers and vendors to analyze category reviews.
• Analyze past, present and future business trends.
• Conduct store and competitive visits to identify gaps and planogram issues.
• Collaborate with vendors on inventory productivity, fill rates, forecasts and timelines.
