Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JF&CS) in Massachusetts seeks a Mental Health Resource Specialist to support callers via phone and email, conduct needs assessments, and facilitate resource referrals. Primary focus is the Mental Health Connect helpline, with responsibilities across all helplines as needed.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, collaboration, and timely access to supports, with a flexible hybrid schedule including two days in the Waltham office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master’s degree preferred in related fields (social work, psychology, counseling, public health, education).
• Minimum of three years of professional experience in client support, resource navigation, or case management.
• Experience conducting needs assessments and connecting clients to community resources.

Responsabilités

• Provide telephonic support, needs assessment, guidance, and client-centered counseling to callers.
• Educate callers about public benefits, housing resources, disability services, and other supports.
• Facilitate referrals to internal JF&CS programs and external services based on assessed needs.
• Conduct intake assessments to ensure appropriate referrals and continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings and trainings.
