Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a Credentialing Coordinator to manage full‑cycle credentialing and reappointment processes. This role provides administrative support to department governance, exercising independent judgment within policies.

The position is hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 remote) with 40 hours weekly, hourly pay, and a focus on ensuring compliance with medical staff bylaws, Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must understand medical staff bylaws and credentialing standards.
• Must know Joint Commission, CMS, and state rules.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with credentialing software systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as resource to medical staff officers, department chairs, and admin leaders.
• Coordinate and support medical staff and committee meetings.
• Prepare agendas, minutes, and committee documentation per bylaws and policies.
• Review credentialing and reappointment applications for medical staff.
• Conduct primary source verification and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor licensure, board certification, DEA, and liability insurance.
• Identify credentialing issues and elevate when needed.
• Maintain audit-ready credentialing records and documentation.
