Job summary

Abode Care Partners in Louisville, KY is seeking a Billing Associate (Medical Biller) to support the Revenue Cycle Team with Medicaid, Medicare Part B, and other insurance billings.

This hybrid position requires time at the Corporate Office with occasional remote work. You will input claims, follow up on denials, prepare disbursements, support month-end close, and maintain accuracy and compliance across billing office functions while providing professional service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and related work experience.
• Minimum 1 year billing and/or coding experience preferred.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, plus Internet navigation.
• Highest level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate at all levels and work well in a team.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monthly Medicaid, Medicare Part B, and other insurance billings with timely follow-up.
• Obtains and submits required documentation to bill third party payers as per guidelines.
• Inputs ancillary and charge data into billing systems and Excel.
• Supports Revenue Cycle Team in planning business and billing office functions.
• May assist with monitoring day-to-day operation and priorities.
• Fills in as Revenue Cycle Manager as needed by COO/CFO.
• Supports compliance with State, Federal, and Company standards.
• Assists with end of month close procedures and reconciliations.
• Maintains accuracy, efficiency, and confidentiality in all work.
• Prepares disbursement checks for approved expenditures.
• Assists with filing, storage, and information tracking; participates in special projects.
