Accelerated Urgent Care is seeking a Cross-Trained Medical Assistant / Receptionist to provide front office and back office support across multiple California clinics. The role handles scheduling, patient registration, payments, and basic clinical tasks while collaborating with providers to ensure smooth clinic flow.

The position requires a Medical Assistant Diploma, a year of relevant experience, and willingness to travel between locations within Kern County.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited program.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of relevant medical office or urgent care experience.
• Knowledge of multi-line phone systems.
• Proficient with EMR and practice management software.
• Customer service principles and practices.
• Strong organization and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Front Office: greet patients, schedule appointments, verify information, collect payments.
• Register patients and assist with check-in/out processes.
• Support back-office tasks and clinical staff as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality and accurate records.
• Travel between clinic locations within the region as required.
