Job summary

NYU Langone Florida is seeking a Medical Assistant/Administrative Support for the Clinical Access Center in Boynton Beach, FL. The role provides administrative support and assists clinical staff with calls, scheduling and patient communications to ensure smooth workflow at the local site.

Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma and completion of a Medical Assistant program or active MA certification from a recognized organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program from an accredited institution OR MA Certification from a nationally recognized institution.

Responsibilities

• Medication refills: assist with phone calls and follow up to pharmacies, local site and patient.
• Lab tests: assist with lab results status and adding tests to orders as directed by RN or provider.
• Scheduling: help schedule urgent or same-day appointments with provider/urgent care, or labs and nurse visits.
• Medical record updates under the direction of the RN.
• Other duties as assigned.
