Job summary

Cantex Corporate is seeking a Medicaid Billing Specialist to manage the billing cycle for multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities across Texas. The role focuses on accurate Medicaid claims, timely submissions, denials resolution, and revenue cycle efficiencies.

You will collaborate with facility teams, state agencies, payers, and leadership to optimize reimbursement, improve cash flow, and reduce aging accounts receivable while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree or equivalent coursework preferred.
• Experience with Medicaid billing in SNF/long-term care settings preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicaid rules, ICD-9/10, and billing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly Medicaid claims and billing for multiple SNFs.
• Create, submit, monitor, and reconcile Medicaid claims.
• Analyze, investigate, and resolve denied or underpaid claims.
• Verify Medicaid eligibility, payer requirements, and resident coverage.
• Post payments and maintain accurate reimbursement records.
• Respond to provider, facility, and payer inquiries.
• Ensure billing complies with federal/state/Medicaid regulations.
• Coordinate third-party billing with facility personnel and teams.
