Job summary

Design West Engineering is seeking a Mechanical and Plumbing Project Manager for its Sacramento, CA office. You will manage HVAC/plumbing design and projects, mentor staff, and develop client relationships across multiple market sectors.

The role emphasizes strong communication, proposal leadership, and adherence to codes and standards while driving project success and organizational growth.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in HVAC and Plumbing design and PM with bid-ready construction documents
• Excellent communication and ability to maintain client relationships as ambassador for Design West Engineering
• Strong experience with AutoCAD and Revit MEP
• Experience across various project types and market sectors
• Ability to multitask between different projects and adapt to changing technologies, codes, and tools
• Passion for mentorship

Responsibilities

• Project Management through all phases of the project
• Running point on proposals for your clients and contributing to proposals for secondary markets
• Ensure all projects are completed according to applicable building codes and company standards
• Formulate a cohesive design solution within scheduled timelines and project budget
• Develop client relationships through quality of service and project delivery
• Engage new clients and industry events to develop new business opportunities
• Oversee the assigned design team and mentor team members
• Perform team QC along with formal scheduled trainings
• Distribute submittals and RFIs, ensuring timely responses for all projects assigned
