Job summary

Lam Research Corporation is seeking a Hardware Designer 1 in the San Francisco Bay Area to design and develop precise mechanical parts and complex assemblies. You will translate engineering concepts into manufacturable solutions while adhering to DFx standards to improve performance, reliability, and cost.

You will document and release drawings and BOMs, collaborate across functions to define design and cost requirements, and support the full design cycle from concept through release.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Design/Engineering or related field with 3+ years experience (or advanced degree with no prior professional experience).
• Highly skilled in 3D CAD applications such as Siemens NX and AutoCAD.
• Proficient in PLM systems like SAP and Teamcenter; strong GD&T knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop precise mechanical parts and subassemblies and create layouts adhering to engineering standards, best practices, and DFx principles.
• Document and release engineering drawings and BOMs through ECM and PLM systems.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, Field Service, and Supply Chain to define design and cost requirements, conduct design reviews, and complete the full design cycle.
• Create 3D electrical and pneumatic harness routing using CAD packages.
