Job summary

S&B Engineers and Constructors, Ltd. seeks a Mechanical Engineer Intern to perform routine design tasks under close supervision, using standard techniques and criteria. The role involves field data gathering and collaboration with senior engineers in a hybrid work environment in the United States.

The internship requires at least two years of undergraduate study in Mechanical Engineering, with working knowledge of CAD software. Prior internship experience is a plus; U.S.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Two years of undergraduate study completed; internship preferred.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare basic design sketches and calculations to support broader design activities.
• Conduct field trips to gather operating data and equipment information.
• Gather data to help prepare equipment specifications, inquiries and requisitions for approval.
• Evaluate vendors' bids and drawings to assure compliance with specifications for simple equipment and items.
• Prepare equipment lists, piping line lists and specialty item lists.
• Contribute to design guides, guide specifications and contract proposals.
• Participate in plant Start-ups.
