Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Colorado is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our design team on a hybrid schedule, averaging two days per week in an HPE office. You will design mechanical and thermal hardware and support production tooling for our edge-to-cloud products.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology and 2–4 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Typically 2–4 years experience.
• Proficient with CREO or similar 3D CAD tools.
• Experience with sheet metal and plastic parts production tooling.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs portions of engineering solutions for mechanical and thermal hardware, electronics enclosures, and production tooling.
• Develops and implements parameters and test plans for existing designs, including validation of tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, EMI, safety, reliability, developing fan curves, system power measurements & acoustics.
• Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners on mechanical and thermal design and development.
• Participates as a member of project team of other mechanical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for low to moderately- complex products.
