Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to advanced mechanical design for built environments, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing. You will use Revit and AutoCAD under guidance from senior engineers and coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure code-compliant, quality systems.

The role emphasizes field work, data collection, and design support on projects of varying complexity, with a hybrid home/office setup in the Portland area and remote collaboration as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years related professional experience; internship preferred.
• EIT/FE certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD as drafting tools.

Responsibilities

• Interprets drawings, codes, and similar materials.
• Performs Revit and AutoCAD design for mechanical and plumbing disciplines.
• Works with senior engineers and project manager guidance.
• Coordinates with architectural, interior, and other disciplines.
• Performs field work and documents observations.
• Performs basic calculations for building mechanical systems.
