Working closely with the Engineer of Record and a multidisciplinary project team, this role is responsible for developing construction documents, coordinating design efforts, and contributing to high-quality engineering solutions that meet client goals.
The Mechanical Designer will support the planning, design, and delivery of mechanical building systems across a diverse portfolio of projects. Working closely with the Engineer of Record and a multidisciplinary project team, this role is responsible for developing construction documents, coordinating design efforts, and contributing to high-quality engineering solutions that meet client goals. This position offers hands‑on experience with complex projects, direct mentorship from experienced engineers, and opportunities to build technical expertise, client communication skills, and project leadership capabilities. High‑performing team members will have a clear path toward expanded responsibilities and future growth into roles such as Engineer of Record or Project Manager.
In this role, you will collaborate with project engineers, design staff, and other disciplines to develop mechanical system designs for a variety of building types. Daily responsibilities include performing mechanical design calculations, developing construction documents in Revit, participating in coordination meetings, responding to design review comments, supporting site observations, and assisting with construction administration tasks.
This position offers a hybrid work environment, with a requirement of two in-office days per week in our Seattle, Washington office. Candidates must be located in the United States and eligible to work in the U.S.
Salary Range: $110,000 - $135,000 (depending on experience). The base salary range represents the low and high end of the compensation scale for this role. Actual salaries will be determined based on location, experience, responsibilities, and qualifications. This salary range is just one component of Glumac’s total compensation package, which includes benefits, professional development opportunities, and additional incentives.
