Job summary

TreeHouse Foods, Inc. is seeking a Material Planner to join our Oak Brook, IL corporate office on a full-time, hybrid first shift.

You will manage material requirements, balance working capital, and ensure production material availability while coordinating with Purchasing, Planning, Operations and Logistics. You will develop planning assumptions, execute MRP, review invoicing in SAP, monitor supply plans, and report on back orders and inventory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or preferred in related field.
• Minimum 2 years in supply chain, production scheduling, demand planning, or operations.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Power BI, and SAP/ERP are preferred.
• Ability to access reports and data to make analytical decisions.
• Excellent customer service skills with professional communication with internal and external customers and vendors.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and clear written/verbal communication.
• Self-motivation with multitasking, analytical thinking, problem solving and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material planning assumptions with purchasing, planning, operations, logistics/warehousing and commercial teams.
• Execute MRP for materials and issue purchase orders to ensure material availability for Operations.
• Review and assist in resolving invoicing discrepancies in SAP via MRBR or VIM.
• Monitor supply plans to identify changes and their effect on material requirements schedules.
• Report on back orders, short stock, excess items, and slow-moving inventory and develop solutions with suppliers and internal resources.
• Analyze supplier performance and inventories to increase inventory turns and improve service.
• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Business Units, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Procurement and Operations for alignment.
