Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Material Handler II to ensure accurate material flow, prepare work orders, and support production. You will audit orders, summarize shortages, and collaborate with production leaders and purchasing to align priorities.

You will guide a small team of material handlers, maintain 5S and Lean standards, and support replenishment and flow for Kanban systems. A hybrid work arrangement is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain or maintain certification to operate material handling equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to organize tasks, prioritize work, and support a production schedule.

Responsibilities

• Audit work orders for accuracy, completeness, and material readiness prior to release.
• Identify material shortages and summarize shortages at the job or order level using basic Excel.
• Communicate shortage status, job readiness, and material issues to production leaders.
• Coordinate daily job priorities with production leadership to ensure materials are staged and ready when needed.
• Lead and guide material handlers in assigned areas, ensuring tasks are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Support receiving, putaway, picking, and material movement activities as needed.
• Monitor material flow to prevent interruptions and manage Kanban flow for production lines.
