George Mason University’s Global Education Office is hiring a Marketing & Student Engagement Specialist in Fairfax, VA. This part-time, hourly role supports day-to-day marketing operations, social media posting and event coordination to engage students and international audiences.

The ideal candidate is a fast learner, team oriented, and proficient with social media, content creation, and basic design. Hybrid eligibility is available and criminal background checks are conducted.

• Draft newsletters, announcements and promotional materials.
• Review documents for style and brand guidelines; edit grammar.
• Prepare and design content and graphics for various media layouts.
• Distribute marketing materials to intended audiences.
• Update web pages and revise content as provided.
• Collect content and assist with database upkeep.
• Assist with GEO study abroad fairs and events coordination.
• Create social media schedules and content; propose posting ideas.
• Monitor social media activity and identify viable actions.
• Produce photos or videos for events and webpages; create content for audiences.
• Support presentation materials with quotations, statistics, videos and photos.
• Analyze website and social media traffic and usage.
• Conduct marketing, content and feature research; perform other duties.
