Strayer University Adjunct Faculty in Arlington, VA, seeks a qualified instructor to teach assigned courses on a hybrid basis—on campus and asynchronously online. The role includes maintaining office hours and delivering high-quality instruction.

Responsibilities include engaging students through an up-to-date curriculum, updates via technology, and timely feedback. Candidates should have college teaching experience and a strong Marketing background.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) software and overall computer skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation.
• Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing of course objectives.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Effective time management skills.
• Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience is strongly preferred.
• 5 years of professional experience in Marketing or related field.

Responsabilités

• Teach courses as assigned from a pre-designed curriculum and utilize your professional expertise to provide high-quality instruction.
• Enhance the strength and effectiveness of the curriculum using technology and videos.
• Arrive on campus at least half an hour prior to the start time of in-person sessions per week during the academic quarter.
• Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience for the online component of the course.
• Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to ensure students receive quality feedback in a timely manner to support their academic success.
• Establish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated.
• Adhere to University policies and procedures.
• Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required.
• Travel weekly to required locations and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant.
