Job summary

VDL Industries Gainesville is seeking a Manufacturing Logistics Engineer to optimize supply chain, warehousing, inventory, and transportation processes. You will analyze data, support continuous improvement, and coordinate material availability to meet schedules and delivery commitments.

Responsibilities include evaluating processes, developing SOPs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced facility with hybrid work between GEMBA

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing, logistics or process-improvement experience.
• Experience in high-mix, low-volume production environments preferred.
• Knowledge of pilot production, NPI, or prototype builds preferred.
• Experience with ERP and production management software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate processes to boost quality, efficiency, productivity and safety.
• Analyze schedules, methods and data; report trends and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards and regulations.
• Review costs, labor use and materials for cost control.
• Estimate times, staffing, lead times and resource needs.
• Enter and verify production and planning data in systems.
• Develop and update SOPs and work instructions.
• Collaborate across manufacturing, quality, logistics and engineering.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose corrective actions.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
