Job summary

Brookings Institution's Hamilton Project seeks a senior outreach and communications leader to advance THP's policy agenda. You will drive strategic communications, plan major events, and steer stakeholder engagement with policymakers, journalists, scholars, and donors in a high-impact, collaborative environment.

The role requires a decade of policy, leadership, and project-management experience, with a track record of producing results across government, think tanks, and industry partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in government, public policy, a think tank, or a similar policy-focused environment.
• Experience leading strategic communications, stakeholder outreach, and event planning initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior leaders across government, academia, the private sector, and other external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute THP’s outreach and communications strategy in collaboration with ES and Central Communications.
• Plan public policy forums and other events to showcase THP’s work.
• Oversee THP’s budget and coordinate with the Program Finance and Development team.
• Manage THP’s website and implement social media strategy.
• Coordinate with Directors to plan policy agenda and publications.
• Support donor stewardship and liaison with Advisory Council.
