Veracyte is seeking a Manager of Software Test Automation to lead the Quality Engineering Platform, enabling product teams to own quality with scalable automation, self-service testing, and AI-assisted tools.

The role is hybrid in San Diego, CA and reports to engineering leadership. You will manage SDETs, Automation Engineers, and Quality Platform Engineers to raise engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 6–7 years of software/quality engineering experience with 3+ years in leadership.
• Proven track record building engineering platforms and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Quality Engineering Platform team.
• Define long-term strategy for quality engineering, automation, and developer enablement.
• Build an engineering culture focused on innovation and operational excellence.
• Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent with career growth in mind.
• Develop scalable automation frameworks for unit, integration, API, UI, and performance testing.
• Define quality standards, reference architectures, and best practices across teams.
• Enable continuous verification through automated quality gates and production validation.
