Job summary

The Montana Legislative Audit Division is seeking Management and Program Analysts at Associate or Senior levels to evaluate state government programs and provide objective information for the legislature and public.

Core duties include planning evaluations, interpreting statutes, interviewing stakeholders, data analysis, and reporting findings. Hybrid/telework options and a defined career ladder are offered, with comprehensive benefits and relocation support where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; field unspecified (must be awarded by Dec 31, 2026).
• Experience in performance auditing or program evaluation preferred.
• Experience in state government preferred.
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis and strong writing ability.
