Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Corporate M&A Associate to join our Baltimore office. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience handling merger and acquisition transactions for private and public companies, with emphasis on drafting acquisition agreements and direct negotiation.

Pharmaceutical sector experience is a plus, and big law background is preferred. Responsible for legal research, drafting, and managing complex deals in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• 2+ years of corporate M&A experience required.
• Maryland bar admission or eligibility preferred.
• Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 firm experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support transaction strategy.
• Draft contracts and related documents with accuracy and clarity.
• Assist/manage high-volume complex transactions from inception to closing.
• Maintain strong internal and external client relationships with timely updates and guidance.
• Collaborate with lawyers and professionals to develop and execute transaction strategies.
• Support negotiations and participate in high-level deal discussions; ensure regulatory compliance.
