Compensation ranges from $67,000 to $90,000 annually with merit-based bonus eligibility. After 90 days, the role becomes eligible for one remote day per week and four days in office.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a litigation environment.
• Paralegal certification preferred, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Caret Legal, NetDocuments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file summonses, complaints, affidavits of service, default judgment packages, and other litigation documents.
• E-file documents through NYSCEF, eCourts, and other filing systems; handle paper filings.
• Coordinate service of process with servers and track proof of service.
• Calendar and monitor court dates and deadlines across a large caseload.
• Prepare motion papers, exhibits, and attorney files.
• Process payments and settlement agreements; update litigation files.
• Communicate with court staff and opposing parties on routine matters.
• Maintain accurate records in the firm’s case management system.
• Respond to client inquiries and prepare status reports.
• Identify bottlenecks and suggest workflow improvements.
