Job summary

Foley Mansfield, a national law firm, seeks a Case Assistant to support the silica litigation team in Pasadena, CA, with hybrid work and a Monrovia, CA base. The role focuses on organizing case materials, preparing deposition and trial documents, and monitoring deadlines within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has experience with electronic legal documents, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.

Qualifications

• Experience working with electronic legal documents.
• Ability to manage multiple plaintiffs and matters simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.
• Familiarity with maintaining and organizing electronic case files.
• Experience preparing case materials, document summaries, chronologies, and other litigation support materials.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite and legal case/document management systems.
• Experience working collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, case assistants, records personnel, and other administrative staff.

Responsibilities

• Organize, maintain, and distribute large volumes of medical records, discovery materials, exhibits, document productions, and other case-related materials for attorney and paralegal review.
• Assist with the preparation and organization of materials for depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Monitor case activity and assist with identifying upcoming deadlines, hearings, depositions, and other important dates.
• Update case status information, internal tracking reports, and case lists as needed.
• Provide backup support to other members of the litigation team as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
